Stars

A little late for the fourth of July, but that was when I made it (I am just running a bit late!!) Oh well, it makes a good birthday card as well. This card was made with the set In the Stars (retired Stampin' Up) and the star punches (also from Stampin' Up). The scallop border is made with jumbo scissors (Paper Shapers from Provocraft) that are no longer available, but they are so handy!

Recycle

Have you ever wondered what you could do with some of those leftover strawberry containers? (Or tomato containers...or anything plastic?) I saw this idea done somewhere and thought it was cute (sorry, I can't remember where...magazine, internet blog, or what). I actually went back to look for it and couldn't find it anywhere, so this is from memory. I just took and empty strawberry container and removed the label. After washing it out and letting it dry over night, I used white rub on decals to decorate it. I added a silk flower and of course, some malted milk balls. (I thought the strawberry hard candies might be a good idea, too.) This was part of a birthday present for a friend. (I had to wait to give it to her before I could show it on my blog!) TFL! See you next time!

Ahoy, matey!

I have been wanting this set, "Just Jawing" (current Stampin' Up) for a while and just got it last month. I have seen some cute ideas. For this card, I just cut out the skull head and added a pirate head scarf. My friend Theresa left the skull bones and added stars for the eyes. I loved her card, too. The "ahoy, matey" sentiment if from the set "Ahoy, Matey" (retired Stampin' Up" and the dotted line stamp is from "Garden Greetings" (current Stampin' Up). The paper was "Rockability" (retired Stampin' Up). *************************************************************************************** PS Stampin' Up - it would be nice if you kept some designer paper around a little longer!

Here's the News

Here are a few post it notes I have been working on for an upcoming craft show. The base is cut at 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. The word "news" was cut from the Cricut. (I can't remember where I found the post it notes, but thought they were darling!)

A Par-fect day!

Here are a few golf cards I had at my last class. The golf stamp and the sentiment "happy birdie to you" are from Savvy Stamps. The sentiment "hope your day is par-fect" is from Stampin' Up. The grass paper was from Hobby Lobby. Very simple cards. TFL!

Summer

Sorry I haven't posted any cards lately - I have been having computer problems. I just got my computer back from HP and I am trying to play "catch-up". I am still having a few issues and it just takes up so much time! But on to the cards. Last week I had a stamp-a-stack and I am having another one this week Wednesday! So I have been busy designing and cutting cards! Here were two of the choices last week. The flamingo card is made with "Tickled Pink" (retired Stampin' Up). And the palm tree is from "Balmy Breezes" (also retired Stampin' Up). Both cards use pattern paper (from Hobby Lobby). They also both were colored using the aqua pen. The flamingo is colored using the ink pad and the palm tree is colored with water color pencils.Keep checking back. I have many more pictures that I will be posting soon!

Create from a Kit
