Vintage Santas

Here are some vintage Santa cards I found and created some projects with.
These Santas are on vintage bingo cards that have been white washed painted with gesso.  I added some glittery flourishes, ribbon and poinsettias.

This Santa picture was used two different ways, in a card and gift tags.

Christmas at Changing Thymes

Here are a few pictures of half of my booth at Changing Thymes on Chicago Drive in Grandville, MI
I have some snowmen ornaments that are made with plastic tea light candles, some Christmas cards,
notebooks and some other holiday "stuff".  This has been keeping me busy.  I now have three stores to keep up with!

Cupcakes, Cupcakes and more Cupcakes!

Wow!  What happened to August and September?  I had a busy summer and then it was back to school time!  I can't believe it is the middle of October already!  I've actually already had parent teacher conferences!  The next time I blink, it will be Christmas!

I have been busy creating, but I haven't been taking pictures (sad face!).  Here are a few new cupcake cards I have been creating.  Just quick, simple cards to get into the stores.

Hexagons!

This is a new stamp set from Stampin Up (Six-Sided Sampler) and some of the new colors (Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate and Pear Pizazz).  I also used the new hexagon punch.  Quick and easy card!

Vintage Birthday

I found this cute kit from October Afternoon.  It included all the paper, die cuts, embellishments and darling ephemeral from the past.  I love the vintage look and hope others do too.

Red, White & Blue

I found some fun paper at my local scrapbook store and thought it would be fun to create some cards with it.  I had fun using some of my new embellishments...washi tape, vintage bottle caps (Hobby Lobby) and Glimmer Mist sprays (to dye the dictionary page flowers).

Lemonade, anyone?

Here is a new stamp set I got from Stamps of Life (a company I often buy from at the Novi convention).  I seem to buy several of their stamps set each year, so I finally joined their membership club and they send me a stamp set each month in the mail.  This is the one I received this month - and I love it!  I love that they include cute sayings with their images.  To make this card, I painted over the top of the cup with radiant pearls (sour lemons color).  It gave it a pretty yellow shimmer.  I added liquid glass on the ice cubes but it is hard to see.  (I probably should have kept the ice cubes white).  I added a paper straw (from Queen & Co.).  Enjoy summer!

Summer

Although the official start of summer is a few days away, summer has begun for me (I am out of school for the summer!)  This card just reminded me of summer, love these colors together.  The paper is My Minds Eye.  I added a little washi tape and some flower beads strung on wire.  Simple but elegant.  Thanks for checking in!

Buzz and Bumble

These cards are made from supplies mostly from Close To My Heart.  At first I wasn't impressed with the paper (seeing it in the catalog), but when I saw it live...LOVE IT!  It is so summery.  I don't like gardening (or bees) but in this case,  I really like how they came together.  (Sorry about the last picture, I couldn't get it up right...every time I imported it, it turned back sideways).  In case you are interested, the supplies are in the current CTMH catalog and it all comes together (stamps, paper, embellishments) in a set called Workshops on the Go Buzz and Bumble Kit.

Man Cards

Well, I see I haven't  posted in a while.  I have been busy with school and trying to keep up with stocking two stores with cards and other fun things.  Now school is done, and I hope to have more time to post (and create).  I have been creating all this time, just not taking many photos.  I will be better at this (I hope).  Here are a few "man" cards to show you (since Father's day is around the corner).  This badge or banner is made using a Close to my Heart stamp set and their Cricut cartridge.  I have a card class next week so be looking for more card samples during the week.  Thanks for stopping by!

It's In The Cards!

I had these beer bottle cap embellishments and have been trying to figure out how to use them.  I made the circle part from a ribbon stamp/die cut from Close to my Heart (and their cartridge Art Philosophy).  The background was made from an embossing folder and then painted lightly with gesso.  (The cards are also lightly painted with gesso).  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Create from a Kit

I'm always on the look out for these kind of cards.  They are so easy to create from.  By using a few tools and supplies from your sta...
