Changing Thymes

So this is what has been keeping me so busy the past month or so. Changing Thymes is the name of the store that I have rented a space to sell my projects. If you are in West Michigan, check it out. I love to walk around the store. I find new things each time I go. Here are some pictures of my things. THe rent is $25 a month (which is much cheaper than paying for a spot in a craft show). I signed a four month lease. After that time, I will reassess the situation and see if this is something that is profitable and something I would like doing. Changing Thymes is located on Chicago Drive in Grandville, Michigan.

Bingo

This card was inspired by a class I wanted to take at the upcoming scrapbooking convention in Novi. Heather (a teacher I work with) and I are going again this year. We had so much fun last year shopping, taking classes, and more shopping...! We already signed up for classes for the convention this year. One class I really thought would be fun was a mini album with a ton of embellishments, but the class was $55. Heather thought I could recreate the album myself and use the $55 to go shopping with. I realized that the part I liked best was a bingo card, so I thought I would play around with a similar design. And this is what I came up with. The bingo embossing folder is by Tim Holtz. I sponged over the embossed bingo card with black ink (very lightly). The tickets are from Admit One (I bought a huge roll of them). I stamped on the tickets using stamps from the set "Just the Ticket" (Papertrey Ink). The pattern paper and the red button is also from Papertrey Ink. The prima flower is from Hobby Lobby.

Wow! It is half way through March and I haven't posted (in over a month!). I have been busy, busy, busy! In February we went to Vegas for the first time (and I have a cute vintage album I made of that trip, just putting the finishing touches on). Also in February, I got a call from a store that let me know they had a space for rent for my cards, projects and whatever else I wanted to sell, so I signed a lease for that and have been busy setting it up (and luckily restocking already!). I just finished parent teacher conferences at school, and now I can concentrate on creating! I have actually been taking stuff to my space (Changing Thymes in Grandville, Michigan), and I have been forgetting to take pictures. I will take some photos this week and post them. Here are some kid's birthdays I have been working on. All of the products used were Stampin' Up. The Elmo card was made with the retired set "Sketch It". The Sesame Street characters card was all made with punches (and a Stampin' Up sentiment at the bottom), and the Spiderman card was made with an embossing folder and a punch. I will have more cards to show you soon (I have been better at remembering to take photos)! Thanks for dropping by!
