An Apple for the Teacher

I made these cards for back to school time. The punch I used is from Martha Stewart. It was quick and easy to punch some fun apples from different prints of pattern paper. The sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink. The lined paper is actually old school paper I found when our school closed a few years ago. Now that school has begun and we are getting settled in, I hope I will have more time to post my creations! Thanks for stopping by!!

Teacher Tag Album

Today was the first day of school and I thought this would be a good post to celebrate teachers. I made this album a few weeks ago. Actually, I painted the "toilet paper rolls" a while ago with the idea of making it into a teacher or school album - it just took me a few months to get around to putting it together. This album was made just like the one I posted last December (Things I Love Album). The pages are made from toilet paper rolls that have been flattened and painted. They are then bound at one end, making the other end an open pocket, perfect for pull-out tags. The cover is made using an old school pin I had. I removed the pin from the back making it flatter and easier to glue it on the front. The other pages were made with odds and ends I had laying around. The last picture shows how I packaged it up for sale. The first book I made took a lot of wear and tear at the store. Packaged up this way with a description on the back will protect it better. Thanks for looking!
