Delight in Life

I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday. A little shopping and a little crafting - what could be better?? But tomorrow it is back to work. Here are a few things I worked on this weekend. I got my Cricut out and made these cute black flowers using the cartridge "Stamped". I added clear gems for a little sparkle. I made a magnetic calendar, a magnetic post it note, and a set of cards. The paper is from Doodlebug and has a little sheen to it (but you can't see it in the pictures). Actually, as I look at the pictures it doesn't even look like the same paper, but it is.

Sweet 16!

My baby is 16 today! Sixteen years ago, she was born on Thanksgiving morning. (My little "Butterball"). We were busy all day today - a day of shopping and then the family party tonight. This was the invitation I sent out to family members. I found this cute idea on Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. I let Allie pick the printed paper she liked for her invitation. So now that our busy day is done, it is time to relax. We will be going to J's brother's house tomorrow for Thanksgiving. My wonderful sister-in-law is making most of the dinner and I just have to bring a few things - my kind of day! I don't enjoy cooking nearly as much as I do the "eating"!

Christmas Tree Treats

Here was a project that we made a few weeks ago at my holiday treats class. This candy box was made using the Cricut and the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge. (It really makes some amazing things!). I heard it was a little challenging to put together (from some of the attendees at the class!). I agree, but I had put so many of them together recently that I must have the hang of it now! I found the cute little buttermint candies at Hobby Lobby, they are decorated in Santa wrappers, so we didn't add much decoration to the candy box, I didn't want to take away from the candy. The ribbon tied around the side, helps the box stay closed. TFL!

Baby, it's cold outside!

So, treat yourself to a nice warm bath, with these scented bath fizz gifts. This was another project in my Holiday Treats class. I found the bath fizz balls at Michaels and they look just like little snowballs. We put them in a little cupcake wrapper and tied ribbon around them. The frosted bag is decorated with a snowflake from the set Snow Flurries (Stampin' Up). We used Cotton White Stazon ink to stamp the snowflakes. To decorate the rest of the bag, we added a snowflake die cut (Cuddlebug), some ribbon and of course a bell!

Tea Tins

Here is another project we made at my Holiday Treats workshop. These are tea tins decorated with a snowman from Cold Play (Stampin' Up). The little sign was made using the Cricut (Walk in My Garden). The turquoise and lime green snowflake ribbon came from Hobby Lobby. We filled the tins with a bag of malted snowball candy.

Candy Tins

I made these candy tins for my craft show and they were very popular. I sold them all. They did turn out really cute. I used pattern paper to decorate the chocolate nuggets and added some ribbon (and a bell!) All very easy, but not exactly cheap. By the time I got the tins, bought the candy (you can fill three tins with one bag), added the paper and ribbon (and bell), there wasn't a very good profit margin. But, they did turn out cute!

Photo Albums

Here are a few photo albums I made for my craft show. I used the set All in the Family (Stampin' Up). The words were made with the Cricut using the catridge Tear Drop. I also used the Cricut software to weld the letters together to make it easier to attach. (Love that software, because as Dawn know, it has to be easy or I'm not doing it!) So yes, this project was quick and easy. Oh, the dots were made with this handy dandy marker that makes dots perfectly. It is called Dotta-riffic by Zig. TFL!

Pumpkin Pie and Blessing Mix

This is a little surprise that we will be making at my next class called Holiday Treats and Gifts. Wouldn't this make a wonderful little gift to set on a coworkers desk or maybe for a favorite teacher? (I know I would like to get these!!) Both little gifts are filled with yummy treats! The pumpkin pie box is made using my Cricut and the cartidge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. The cute little pumpkin on the Blessing mix is made using the cuddlebug (a diecut and embossing folder all in one set! Isn't that great!) If you like these, keep checking back to see what else we are going to be making. I will also be selling these at my next craft show. TFL!

Another Thank You

I thought this would make a cute kids thank you. I used the set Hip-Hip Hooray (Stampin' Up) and the color combination was orange(pattern paper), celery and not quite navy. I used watercolor pencils on the little guys and then cut them out. TFL!
