Puppy Love

I dragged out my Cricut and was playing around with the "Paper Pups" Cartridge. Here are a few cards I made. (More to show later, just haven't uploaded the pics yet).

Hooked!

I adapted a card I made at my friend Connie's house to add a paperclip for a swap I was doing. This is what I came up with. The set is Fishy Friends from Stampin' Up. I bent the paperclip a little bit and then added the lines so it would look like a hook. A little bit of ribbon finished the card. If you look closely you can see the background. It was made with bubble wrap. Just take a piece of bubble wrap and ink it up. Lay the card on top and press. It is a fun alternative to addind a background. This is the card from Connie's. (I posted it a while back, but the color was off.)

Butterflies!

These cards are made with a stamp from "My Sentiments Exactly". I used glossy white paper and black stazon ink. I then sponged ink on the butterfly wings. Again, I think these cards are good for sympathy or thinking of you (or even just blank note cards).

Thinking of You

I am running low on "thinking of you" and "sympathy" cards and thought this could be used for either. I saw this tutorial on Splitcoast, reverse masking. I made a template using the Cricut. I stamped and sponged inside the frame and then removed the frame to stamp the large tree.

Pink, Orange and Brown

Wow, I can't believe that it has been so long since I posted something! I guess this vacation stuff really does make you lose track of time! I am creating and relaxing and reading and sitting by the pool everyday! The weather has been great! I was working on a new box gift set for a friend to give at a shower. I just sold my last black and white one and thought I would try a different color. I found this set of glitter paper at Hobby Lobby and thought it looked like fun! It is hard to see the glitter in the photo. Here is a set of cards and post - its I put in the set. The card was made with the Cricut cartridge "Stamped".

Pocket Cards

The yellow and orange pockets are actual library pockets I got at my local Teacher's Store. The pattern pocket I made just by folding and glueing together. I used two sided pattern paper so the inside of the pocket was coordinating. The flower was made with the Cuttlebug embossing folder. The tag is just card stock I cut to fit inside. Add a little ribbon or fiber to help pull tag out (and because it looks cute!) I thought these were fun cards, you just pull out the tag to write your message!

Friends

Here are just a few cards I made using my Cricut. The letter "F" was made using the cartridge called Stamped. There are alot of possiblities with this cartridge. The flowers are made with the cartridge Walk in my Garden. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamping on Acetate

This card has a simple classic look and could be used for any occassion. The simplicity reminds me of a sympathy or thinking of you card. I did not put a saying on the front and they are blank inside as well for personalization. I started with the set Lovely as a Tree from Stampin' Up, black stazon ink and a piece of acetate (also known as "transparencies"). You can find this at your local craft stores, but it is cheaper to go to your local office supplie store. (I was fortunate enough to get several boxes from my good friend Stephanie when she was cleaning out her basement - Thanks, Stephanie!! We'll have to make these cards this summer!) Stamp the trees on the front side of the acetate. Stazon dries quite quickly so you can turn it over and rotate the acetate so you are stamping the trees (almost touching) to look like a mirror reflection. I used a blue/gray paper for the top, garden green for the middle and silver for the bottom. Attach these strips to a white card. Place the stamped trees acetate sheet on the front. Attach with black brads (paper fasteners) in the corners. The fun thing about this card is that you can turn it either way. You can have a blue sky or a gray sky. My daughter and I couldn't decide which way we liked best, so we did some of both!! Hope you enjoy this card.

I'm Back!

The craft show was a success. The weather was fabulous (which is a plus since it is an outdoor show). Both days were warm and sunny! I got a nice sunburn and some extra spending money (yeah, now I can do more craft shopping!) No new pictures, but here are some pics of how I displayed some of my stuff!

Bloom with Delight!

I had never thought of putting these colors together, but once I did, they remind me of summer! This is a perfect card for any occassion. The flower is from Big Blooms (Stampin' Up), the sentiment is from Endless Creations, and the polka dot frame is from Great Impressions. ************************************************************************************************************* I am heading up to Pentwater, Michigan for my first craft show of the season. (PS Andrea, when I get back there will be a summer class "tutorial" for you! We can't go all summer with out thinking about school!)

These are little photo albums that I am making for an upcoming craft show. I used the Doodle Alphabet and Doodle This from Stampin' Up. The paper is Designer Paper "Loves Me" also from Stampin' Up.

Celebrate!!

I guess I have two reasons to celebrate. First, today was the last day of school and second, I am leaving Kindergarten and moving up to First Grade! I am very excited and looking forward to this new experience (and only half the amount of students!). So this card is what I will be doing tonight (and tomorrow and the next day and the next.....)!! This card was made with the set Paradise from Close to my Heart.

Last Day of Kindergarten!

Well, tomorrow is my last day of kindergarten and it is time to thank my many parent volunteers. I couldn't have done it without all their classroom help and support. So this is the gift I decided to give them. It is a pack of flip flop cards with matching envelopes and a matching post it note holder. I put them in a cellophane bag and tied a ribbon. I thought the flip flop theme was fitting since summer is almost here and who doesn't like flip flops? I hope they like them!

Relax!

I'm looking forward to some upcoming beach days! Hope it won't be too far away. A few more days of teaching and then - beach, here I come! I found this box at Michaels and thought it would make a nice gift with some cards in it. I used the set Shore Thing from Stampin' Up. The lines on the top scallop red border was made using a white stamp pad and a journaling stamp (also from Stampin' Up).

Create from a Kit

I'm always on the look out for these kind of cards.  They are so easy to create from.  By using a few tools and supplies from your sta...
