Friends for the long haul

Here are a few cards with the set Loads of Love (Stampin' Up). I was actually cleaning a drawer and found pieces for the bottom cards that I never put together (what was I thinking? Cleaning???) Well, at least I have a few cards set to go when needed!

Winter Trees

Here are two different versions of a card using the same stamp (just a little differently). The first card is just stamped and embossed with silver embossing powder. The second card is embossed two times. Once on the navy and the second on green (cut out and layer on top of navy). Very quick cards I am offering at my Stamp-a-Stack classes. TFL!

Brrrr.....

Welcome to Michigan weather. We have been spoiled the month of November. We have had beautiful weather. But I know what is on it's way.... This was made using the set "Bundle Up" (retired Stampin' Up). I actually had some other colors picked out for this, but I was trying to find something to match this pattern paper. This card about sums it up! It is a cold, gloomy day, but yummy food is on its way! Even Tori's cat Lucy knows what to do on a day like this! Happy Thanksgiving!

Definately Decorative

Here is another sample of the new ornament punch and ornament stamp set "Definately Decorative" from Stampin' Up's mini holiday catalog. I used chocolate chip ink and paper. The swirl background is "Barogue Motif" also Stampin' Up. I did one in gold and one in silver. The ribbon is from Michael's. I added a gem sticker in the middle to finish the card. Very simple!

Best Fishes

Happy Birthday to Allie! (actually in two days- my Thanksgiving day baby!) Now she is 17 Tonight we her and her friends for her birthday dinner to Logan's. Here is her birthday card (along with her present, the movie "Up!"!) She has a pet fish named Stella, so I thought she might like this. I didn't put a birthday greeting on the front, it was on the inside. I made this card from a sample a friend brought to my card workshop this past weekend. I used some different colors and a different accent stamp set, but it was the same general idea with the ornament stamp and punch from the new set Delightful Decorations (Stampin' Up mini holiday catalog). The other set I used was Fish Frolics (retired Stampin' Up). The embossing folder for the background is from Cuddlebug, and the paper is from Close To My Heart (their paper has a white core, so you can sand it for a distressed look). A little glitter glue for some sparkle finishes the card. (And I made a matching envelope!) TFL! Tomorrow, off for some birthday shopping for Allie! No school for a few days, yeah! Stop back to see other samples of the Delightful Decorations set and coordinating ornament punch!

Reindeer

I was going through some pictures of last year's cards and here's one I didn't post. (I can't believe I never posted it! I think I was saving it to show my card club girls and then forgot about it!) It was quite simple. No stamping involved (just some sponging and some punches).

November treats

Well, it's time for me to get back into crafting. I have taken a few months off (due to learning to teach a new grade). I think I scared a few of my friends when I told them I didn't have any energy to craft (or any interest)! But I think I have a handle on my new classroom and a little more time and energy. So here are a few projects I have been working on. I found this "leaf beaded ribbon" in my crafting stash. I can't remember where it came from or why I would have it, but it looked like a good trim for something. So I painted these cans and added a little gold glitter to the paint while it was still wet. I added some pattern paper and then the beaded ribbon. I finished the trim with some velvet rick rack. I made the card to coordinate with the cans. I used the stamp set "Jack-O-Lantern Fun" (retired Stampin' Up). I added a little bit of the leaf bead on the card and some gold glitter.

Create from a Kit

I'm always on the look out for these kind of cards.  They are so easy to create from.  By using a few tools and supplies from your sta...
