Skirt Card

This was actually a very simple card - no stamping involved. Just a little cutting, punching and drawing (with the gel pen). The belt buckle is actually a pop can top. Never thought of this until I saw these at my father-in-law's cottage. His wife saves these and turns them in for a charity. I saw them laying on the counter and thought they looked like little belt buckles. They gave me a baggie full to use on my cards and this is what I used them for! Just another way to recyle! Thanks for stopping by!

Sunflower Tag and Card

Today, most of the products I used are from Stampin' Up. For this project, I used the set "Sweet Centers" and "Bugs and Kisses" (current Stampin' Up). The chocolate chip polka dot paper is no longer available (Au Chocolat, retired Stampin' Up), but I bought up a few packs of it because I love it! The yellow paper is Crushed Curry (retired Stampin' Up), but the ink for the flower is the new Daffodil Delight (Stampin' Up) and it coordinates well with the "crushed curry". The leaves are stamped with the new color Pear Pizzaz (Stampin' Up). I filled the card sunflower with brown M&M's and the center for the gift card tag is filled with sunflower seeds. I love the red added on to these projects, it just seems to brighten them up. The polka dot ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. Thanks for looking!

Vintage Finds

I have been busy making cards, but I will show those later this week. I have been meaning to show you a few of my "vintage" finds. I love these for organizing and displaying in my "studio". Did you notice my last post showing the cupcake cards? The cards were displayed in my new frame I found at a local resale shop. The wire basket and (which is a great size to hold my button bottles) and the little tin molds (which are great to hold buttons when I am working on designs) were found in a cute little shop in Ludington, Maude's Garage (an old gas station/garage remade into a resale consignment shop). Thanks for stopping by, check back later for some new designs I've been working on!

Cupcake Cards

Here are some cupcake cards from the Cricut Cartridge "Sweet Treats". When I saw this cartridge, I just thought I had to have it, and then I didn't do anything with it! (are there any "collectors" out there like me - just have to have something and then just look at it???) Well, I decided to try to make one of the cupcake version cards and this is how it turned out. I am not entirely happy with them (but they did sell well at the 4th of July sale!). I ended up just cutting the pieces and then assembling them on a white card base and cutting out the shape after is was all glued on. I embossed the frosting part with a cuddlebug folder and I used the paper cripper for the bottom. I also used an embossing folder for the cherry. I added green polka dot ribbon for the stem. I might still need to play around with this pattern, but that's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!

Carnival Tickets

I just bought some carnival tickets to use on my cards. I saw some cute ideas and just thought I had to have these! On these two birthday cards, I used the red ones. I had shopped around and tried to find these blank tickets, but no luck. Everything I found had words on them and I wanted them blank so I could stamp on them. The paper is from My Mind's Eye and the stamp set is Stampin Up (retired - sorry I can't remember the name and I am in Ludington away from my stamping studio!) I also used some of my new wrinkle ribbon and some buttons as accents. Thanks for stopping by and check back soon.

Circus Fun

For some reason, this reminds me of summer (must be the colors). I was trying to decide if I wanted to sell this set in the craft sale since I hadn't used it in a while. I started to play around with it and came up with this card. I decided to keep the set a little longer! The set is called "Clowing Around" (retired Stampin' Up).

Happy July!

I made this card idea for my last workshop. I started with the retired set "Old Glory" from Stampin' Up for the stars and stripes. The other stars are from the set Seeing Stars also Stampin' Up. The background is also embossed with stars from a cuddlebug embossing folder. I used the traditional red, white and blue colors and for a more vintage look, I added kraft paper. I got the red tags from Etsy and the vintage blue buttons came from a local resale shop.

Create from a Kit

I'm always on the look out for these kind of cards.  They are so easy to create from.  By using a few tools and supplies from your sta...
