Snowman Candy Bars

Here was a project I made for my craft shows and for my last workshop. I think I found this project on Splitcoast Stampers (but not sure where). I used chocolate candy bars, wrapped in a white wrapper. These were perfect for this project. I found these at Walmart. The rest is pretty simple. I just wrapped white cardstock around the candy bar. The hat is cut from black paper and then run through the paper crimper. The piece of holly was cut on my Cricut using the cartridge "Joys of the Season". The eyes and buttons were punched with the 1/2 inch circle punch. I made the smile using a 1 1/2 inch circle paper punch. (This is a double punch technique. First punch a half a circle out of black and then slide the punch in the same punched hole, just move it in a little further and punch a small sliver - that makes the smile). I used a white gel pen for some accents. A little red "wrinkle ribbon" tied around the snowman makes the scarf.

Holiday Recipe Books

Well, I wish I could say I've been super busy and that is why I haven't been posting anything lately, but that is just not the case. The truth is, I have been super lazy!! Now that I am done with craft shows and workshop/classes, I just have been enjoying "lounging" on my couch (with my computer checking out other blogs!). I do have a few pictures from some of my last craft show projects. Here are some pictures of some holiday recipe books I made. These were just index card books I found at back to school time and thought these would be cute little holiday books. I sold these for $5 each. Now that I am looking for little family or work gifts, I wish I would have bought more (I only bought 4 of them and they sold right away at the craft show). There is always next year! These books came in two different colors (when I found them, there might have been more colors).

Believe

So after our family Thanksgiving Thursday night, J. stopped at Michael's with me on our way home. (I know, it's hard to "believe"! that he would be shopping with me, especially in a craft store!). Of course, I went right to the cricut cartridges! I couldn't decide between the "Simply Charmed" and "From My Kitchen" so he said get them both! I was so excited (something new to play with this weekend!) So here is the first card I made with the "Simply Charmed". I just love it, it turned out so cute. Not very difficult at all (the cricut did most of the work!). Just a little glueing, a little sponging and some glitter! The sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up set.

Baby Hippo

Here's another little baby card I was working on. The hippo is made from the cricut cartridge "Create A Critter". The yellow polka dot paper is actually flocked (so it is too difficult to put a sentiment or title on this card). The little flower on the hippo behind has a sticker gem to add some sparkle. Red Mittens

Are you ready for some cold weather? Well, if you are in Michigan, it won't be long! Here is another card that was available at my last workshop. I used some coordinating pattern paper that I had in my stash. The scallop circle is made from the Marvy punch and then I used a small paper punch to punch small holes in each scallop. The mitten stamp is from the set "Merry" (retired Stampin' Up). The sentiment "joy" is a stamp from Inkadinkado. After I stamped the sentiment, I used a 1/2 in circle punch to punch out each letter. I then used pop dots to add dimension to the letters. The red and white ribbon is from PaperTrey Inc.

Grateful Greetings

Here is a Thanksgiving card I had at my last workshop. This set is "Turkey Talk" (retired Stampin' Up). I used pattern paper from a large glitter pack for the background. I used my watercolor pencils to color in the pilgrims. The large scallop oval punch is by Marvy. The sentiment is from the set "Grateful Greetings" (current Stampin' Up). Colors I used for this card are Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Crushed Curry. Well, off to get some cards ready for my next workshop! Thanks for stopping by!
